Budget Analyst
The State Board of Administration of Florida (SBA) is the investment organization managing the assets of the Florida Retirement System (FRS) and other funds. What we need
The SBA is hiring a Budget Analyst to join the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (FHCF). The Budget Analyst is primarily responsible for assisting with financial management of the FHCF including but not limited to, managing the budget process, invoice and travel processing. This role is also responsible for providing support to the Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology (Commission) and the Professional Team. This position works on-site, in-office in Tallahassee, Florida.

Requirements Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Performing activities related to the FHCF budget process and Collection of Emergency Assessments
• Performing activities related to the FHCF invoices and commodity purchases for the FHCF
• Assisting with the administration of the Insurance Capital Buildup Incentive Program (ICBIP)
• Providing support to the Manager of Modeling Program
• Serving as the primary coordinator for all FHCF staff, Commission, Advisory Council and Professional Team members' travel activities
• Serving as backup for all FHCF contracts
• Performing other duties as assigned

What you should have
Six years of relevant experience. A postsecondary degree may be used as an alternative for years of direct experience; 2 years for an associate’s degree, 4 years for a bachelor’s degree, 6 years for a master’s degree, 7 years for a professional degree, or 9 years for a doctoral degree.

Preferences
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in insurance, finance, accounting, business, mathematics, risk management, or a related field
• Knowledge of business process flow diagrams software, Microsoft Vizio
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft Financials, Eagle Star and Eagle Portal
• Knowledge of business process flow diagrams using MS Vizio
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong proofreading skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
