What we need
The Board is looking for a Director of Accounting & Risk Management to join the team! The Director of Accounting & Risk Management is responsible for overseeing the accounting and risk management functions for the Florida Prepaid College Board (Board), the Florida Prepaid Foundation (Foundation), and Florida ABLE, Inc. (ABLE). The position maintains and oversees policies, procedures and controls and the Board’s budget preparation and execution. The Director of Accounting and Risk Management reports to the Deputy Executive Director.

Requirements What you should have
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, business, risk management or a related field and five years of related experience. Or any combination of education and/or experience equal to the minimum requirements.

• Three years of the related experience in a supervisory role overseeing activities across various functions
• Master of Business Administration or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, risk, management, or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant certificate from the Florida State Board of Accountancy

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of accounting principles and risk management processes
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, working with groups across various functions
• Skill in facilitating and presenting at public meetings and other public forums
• Demonstrates sound judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
• Hands-on team player with the ability to be proactive and work independently
• Ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously and pay close attention to detail
• Ability to oversee, lead and train staff
• Ability to analyze reports and data

Hiring Range: $120,000- $160,000
