Requirements What we need
The SBA is currently seeking a Senior Accountant in our Accounting department. The Senior Accountant for public assets is a cross-functional professional that has a thorough understanding of all relevant processes to ensure timely and accurate completion of all public asset accounting tasks. The position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to reconciling public asset accounts, preparing posting instructions for corporate actions, valuation of public assets at month end, auditing manager fees, and providing training and guidance to public asset accounting colleagues.

What you’ll do
• Analyze the Global Equity and Fixed Income Investments reporting
• Oversee the valuation process for all public market assets
• Audit hedge fund and related investment manager fees for Florida Retirement System Defined Benefit
• Maintain corporate actions in Eagle STAR
• Develop and maintains thorough knowledge of the use of State Board of Administration (SBA) systems, operations and procedures and participates in accounting’s cross-training plan
• Perform other duties as assigned

What you should have
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting and three years of related experience. Must possess a Certified Public Accountant certificate from the Florida State Board of Accountancy
• Experience in investment accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Hiring Range: $70,900 - $88,700
