Chris Carpentier and Chrissy Norton from State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) will be leading the next P2F2 quarterly webinar on the economic environment, June 10th from 3pm to 4pm ET. Chris and Chrissy are Investment Strategists. They are members of the Investment Strategy and Research Team at SSGA where they perform market research to assist clients with their multi asset class investment objectives while also helping formulate the firm's own investment views. SSGA, as one of the world’s largest asset managers, partners with many innovative institutions and financial intermediaries to help create better outcomes for the investors and people they serve.

 

Chris and Chrissy will give their views on current macroeconomic conditions impacting financial markets. They will discuss trade, tariffs, inflation, and the current events that are shaping our world.

 

The webinar is free for members and $50 for nonmembers.  Those who attend at least 50 minutes of the webinar and respond to at least 3 of the 4 polling questions will earn 1 CPE credit.  After attending the webinar, you will be able to:

 

  • Understand the role of key risks to both the upside and downside of the global economy
  • Evaluate options regarding tariffs and trade policy
  • Determine the impact of inflation and future growth

Speaker Bios

Chris Carpentier, CFA, FRM - State Street Global Advisors

Chris is a Vice President of State Street Global Advisors and a part of the firm's Investment Strategy and Research team.  In this role, he performs market research to assist clients with their multi asset class investment objectives while also helping formulate the firm's own investment views. Prior to this role, he was a member of the Investment Risk team and was responsible for the investment risk oversight, analysis, and review across the equity portfolios within SSGA.

Prior to joining State Street Global Advisors, Chris was a Vice President and Product Manager at FactSet Research Systems Inc. for 13 years, where he focused on developing their portfolio risk suite of products, which included stress testing, risk decomposition, optimization, risk-based attribution, and multi-asset class risk modeling.

Chris holds a BS from Bryant University, majoring in Finance, is a CFA charter holder, and a certified FRM.


Christine Norton, CFA - State Street Global Advisors
Christine is an Assistant Vice President of State Street Global Advisors and a member of the Investment Strategy and Research team in North America. In her role, she supports a team that partners across investment and client facing organizations to identify market themes, conduct research and design custom multi-asset class solutions.

Prior to her role at SSGA, Christine was a member of State Street's Professional Development Program where she partook in four 6-month rotations throughout the firm. Her rotations within SSGA included ESG, Fixed Income Portfolio Strategy, and Investment Strategy & Research.

Christine holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from Bentley University and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. She is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Boston


CPE Credit
P2F2 is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.  For more information please visit www.nasba.org.  The webinar will be presented online in a Group Internet-based format.  This webinar is considered an update knowledge level.  There are no prerequisites and no advance preparation is required.  In keeping with NASBA requirements, P2F2 tracks attendance for CPE credit.  Attendees may earn 1 CPE credit in economics as long as they are logged in for at least 50 minutes and respond to at least 3 of the 4 polling questions spread throughout the webinar.  State Boards of Accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
