The P2F2 Board of Directors
The Board consists of nine volunteer members who are elected by a simple majority vote at the Annual Business meeting held during the conference. Board members serve for three-year terms. The Board is responsible for overall policy and direction of P2F2, and delegates responsibility of day-to-day operations to the staff and committees. Directors do not receive compensation for service on the Board.
There are four officers of the Board, consisting of a President, President-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer. The officers are elected by the Board members for a one-year term at a Board meeting following the Director(s) election. Officers take their positions immediately upon election, with the previous President-Elect moving into the President position; the newly-elected President-Elect shall become president the following year. The four officers shall comprise the Executive Committee.
The Board is required to meet at least quarterly, at an agreed upon time and place. Board meetings may be conducted via telephone conference call. Five or more Directors must be present to conduct a Board meeting. Minutes of meetings will be posted on the website and are available to all members.
A Board Development Committee is responsible for nominating a slate of prospective Directors representing P2F2’s diverse constituency. In addition, any member may nominate a candidate to the slate of nominees.
