P2F2 Purpose
Statement

 

1. Promote excellence in public pension plan financial operations,
    
2. Provide educational programs of current interest to membership,
    
3. Create a medium for the consideration of common problems and the exchange of ideas and information that will facilitate the most efficient and economical operation of the financial operations and reporting between public pension systems,
    
4. Foster sound principles, procedures and practices in the field of public pensions related to the financial operations of such plans, and
    
5. Provide an appropriate national organization representing the financial operations of public pension systems throughout the United States, including providing comment to exposure drafts and other potential accounting pronouncements promulgated by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board.

Volunteers Needed for 2009 Conference  -  The Sessions and Speakers Committee is looking for volunteers to assist with content for the 2009 P2F2 conference.  If you would like help with this aspect of the conference, please contact Debbie at 614-222-5601, or dwroe@opers.org.
